A normal post-test is one that Immediately follows instruction and involves items/problems/activities that are “isomorphic” to those in instruction. By isomorphic we mean they have similar form, but may be different content. A normal post-test is thus neither a test of long-term retention or of transfer. It is in contrast to these measures of robust learning.
